Thank you Vanessa, every day I'm learning something new from you and other people on YouTube smarter than me! Your videos are highly appreciated! Love from England.

My grandparents called me a few months ago. They told me that my mom had been in a bad vehicle accident. Then they told me that she had been ejected from the vehicle. Then they said that it had rolled over her. Those fifteen or twenty seconds felt like a thousand years because I was sitting there wondering if she's alive or dead. I suggest that if you're writing an email, get the pertinent information out right away then build backwards depending on how relevant it is. It's courteous and compassionate and just common sense. That phone call could have been a lot more pleasant had they started it off with "she was in a vehicle accident but is okay" then allowed me to ask what had happened, if there had there been injuries, and where she was now. Unfortunately these types of common sense things are as apparently as rare as a unicorn fart in the wind which low key makes me want to break bad and high key just makes me appreciate happy things like dark chocolate and flowers.

I like the call to action part. I keep sending emails over and over just to get them to respond.

Great tips! What about follow up emails? I struggle with the rights words sometimes and don’t want to seem like a pest.

Also, if you’re in a long email chain and add a new person, sum up the problem instead of saying, “Please reply” which forces the person to read through 15 emails to find the question
