I spotted the PKP Pendolino during an earlier visit to Poland and was so impressed, I decided to give it a try the next time I was in the country. I travelled between Katowice and Warsaw and was very impressed. #pkpintercity

One of my favourite memories is a snowy trip from Warsaw to Krakow. The view of flat snow covered fields disappearing into the dusk was a true travel experience!
Makes think it's time for some more trains rides around Europe.

I took a trip to Poland with the girlfriend about a year ago, although we were staying in Wroclaw but passed through Warsaw and it's definitely an interesting place. Had the dog with us too, so was concerned of restrictions on where we could go with him, but surprisingly it's a very dog friendly place and you can pretty much go inside anywhere with them. Definitely a plus for me. Great stuff !

Initially I thought why is the video so short, then I realised how busy the train was and I was like 'the man did a great job'! Never easy to film on a packed train. I passed through Centralna just a few days ago, great to see it again :) Oh, and shamefully I had a McDonalds in Poland and a KFC in Lithuania, but only because I was eating at midnight with nothing else open!

Great to see how busy the train was and looks a lot brighter than the UK Pendolino. I bet the train fare was a lot less than Manchester to London. 👍

The landscape is beautiful under that white, snowy coat, isn't it? But that was not even that what we consider a "heavy snow" in Poland.
I like to listen to that singing sound of a starting train. The only sound I missed here was that piece by Chopin that they play on the board while the train stops at a station.
That train was going from Bielsko-Biała. If you would like to cover the gondola lifts on your channel as well, we have a nice one there. Also the Bielsko-Biała Główna train station has a nice building, even if not the biggest one.

If you get the chance, try heading to malbork, the Station is fairly original architecture and it's famous for the castle but also used as a cross point for trains north, South, east and west. Good selection of old, new rolling stock.

FYI that announcement about food taking 'up to 30 minutes' is a recorded message they play on every service, because they don't hire enough staff to serve food to all of First and then serve walk-up customers in any sort of time. Sometimes you'll be lucky and it will be quick, sometimes you're waiting 45 minutes for scrambled eggs. There's also unlimited wi-fi, you just have to enter an email address.

Nice video. Last autumn I travelled Gdansk-Warsaw and then Warsaw-Krakow. Whilst comfortable and convenient, they were slower than expected. Read they are to speed up (at least some sectors) from this year with improved infrastructure.
