There is a competitive eating league called Major League Eating. Previous contests this year before the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest included strawberry shortcake (the winner ate a world record 22 pounds in 8 minutes), donuts (the winner ate 48 donuts in 8 minutes), and Hostess Donettes (Joey Chestnut won with a world record 257 in 6 minutes).

Oh, Miki Sudo won the women's hot dog eating event, consuming 37 hot dogs and buns.
