This is why I don't agree with the argument "don't blame modern day British for the crimes of their ancestors", modern day British or as Racist and has Superiority complex built within them just like their ancestors, otherwise they would have returned all the Jewels, Sanskrit manuscripts and other artifacts that holds Historical significance to us Indians

People must be naive if they thought Rishi Sunak will return the Kohinoor just because he is of Indian origin.
Rishi is the PM of Britain, and hence will put British politics and its people first.

To think that the queens of Britain wore it gleefully knowing fully that it was stolen property!!! What kind of creatures were they?

Kohinaar was mined in Golconda mines, in the southern kingdom of Travancore and then was part of temple treasure from where it was looted.

If Greece could get back the Elgin Marbles, why shouldn’t India be able get the Kohinoor back? This is part of the $45 Trillion wealth (present value), Imperial Britain is said to have looted from India. What is the total value of the the British loot from all their former colonies? Canada apologized to the First Canadians and Germany did the same to the Jews. When would the so-called enlightened countries like the U. S. and U. K. follow suit?

Excellent to hear you mention the Syamantaka origin of the jewel, and clearly mentioning that it was rebranded by Persians. Thanks a lot Palki!

In Kakathiya kingdom, the diamond belonged to a Bhadra Kali temple in what is today's Telangana. Delhi sultanate invaded and took that diamond. Then it was taken by Persian invader sher shah, who named it Kohinoor. And later Ranjit Singh of sikh empire took it. The British took it from his son, as a "gift". Whoever grabbed it, their empire got destroyed within a few decades. Such powerful diamonds only belong to temples. Only Gods can handle that power.

Palki, Kohinoor does NOT mean “fountain of light”. It is “Kuh-e-Noor” I.e. “Mountain of Light”. Kuha in Sanskrit (Farsi - Kuh) is Mountain.

It's not Kohinoor that is bringing British empire down. They looted money and thought they would never bother about wealth. But, see how nature taking it's own justice, within 100 years, British people are roaming around the world for jobs to sustain their families. You can't build a building on false foundation. Dharmo rakshati rakshitah🙏🙏🙏

Please run a series of episodes on the atrocities and loot committed by the East India Company, and the British government in India. Also include how they systematically tried to destroy our culture, educational institutions, and rich heritage. While we have nothing against the contemporary British, it does not mean that we have to forget the lessons that history has taught us.

Not just British THIEVERY from Indian.

But also British THIEVERY from Africa.

British companies now control Africa’s key mineral resources focusing on key minerals and metals such as gold, platinum, diamonds, copper, oil, gas and coal. 101 companies have mining operations in 37 sub-Saharan African countries. These companies, which are mainly British, now control an identified $1.05 trillion worth of resources in Africa in just five commodities — oil, gold, diamonds, coal and platinum. Of the 101 LSE-listed companies, one quarter are incorporated in tax havens. A determination to plunder the natural resources of Africa is taking place, with the active support of the British government; this is contributing significantly to a net drain of resources from Africa, already the world’s poorest continent.

You never ask British thieves to return. You have to make them return. Thieves never say he is robber. That is particularly true when it comes to British Royal Thieves.

We don't know if the UK will return or not return the gem. But, Kohinoor has much emotional and symbolic value for India.

Their shamelessness in displaying stolen items as their own is almost commendable.

Kohinoor is our Telugu people's pride. It was first mined in kolluru mines, Andhra Pradesh during the rule of Kakatiyas Kings and fixed as left eye of goddess in Bhadrakali temple, Warangal, Telangana. As Warangal was capital of Kakatiyas.
