"You give them parts numbers, you open the box, you get a tie." I feel your struggle Tom. 😄

Use the engine to drive a hydrostatic pump driving a left and right hydrostatic motor. Then you can use a steering wheel to operate a left and right diverter valve to stop each track in order to turn. A foot throttle gives you your speed and a brake pedal can operate a vavle to lock up the motors. Clean, simple, doesn't take up much space, relatively simple to service and repair.

I don’t know if it’s Tom- Toms influence but it seem like Matt is finally doing preventive maintenance and repairs on his equipment. Life is a lot of easier when things work the way they are supposed to, allowing you to focus on the actual job👍

Happy Birthday, Tom! You and Matt are rapidly becoming, if not already there, a classic partnership of opposites with shared passions and matching laid-back personalities making it work. A win all around.

20:25 Rory's work is absolutely legendary. It may not look the prettiest, but man- everything he builds works so well. Even it's out the middle of nowhere using improvised tool sets with snow or rain coming down. Incredible.

I've always appreciated the humor, the realistic approach to building and fixing machines, as well as the approach to safety that you promote, but the BEST thing about being a long-term subscriber is seeing how you treat your people and the community.
You guys are always doing something good, right, uplifting or all of the above.
Well done and thank you.
The ignorant world we live in NEEDS you now, more than ever.

As a fellow engineer, the comment "I give them part numbers, and I open the box and it's a tie" hits home. You want to make an engineer happy? Let them pick and buy their own gift.

Happy birthday Tom tom!! You by far are one of the bolts that hold the crew together. Thanks for being you man and I hope your birthday was a good one

With all the viewers complaining about how Matt and crew decide on the way they fabricate their builds, I simply enjoy watching their expertise speak for itself. The best part for me is getting to guess how the list of upgrades is going to take shape. With the Banana, MORRvair and Wrecker consisting of pure ideas machined and welded into reality, the experience of this crew is something to admire.

I think it's great that whenever you see always has a smile. Brightens up every video.

There is no channel I’d rather watch. This episode has all of the elements I love. Great conraderie, Matt singing, Lizzy, Tom Tom, and Ed. And a build that will be almost as over the top as the wrecker. Keep it up.

That outro was pretty incredible. The sad potato truck. Matt's ghostly yet angelic singing. I definitely shed a tear.

I am always fascinated at how you take something like this, lift the body, replace everything underneath and make it better. Looking forward to the finished product.

OMG. They're working on the Bombi before it snows! Like doing maintenance on the vehicle before it's needed!

How novel! 😁

Happy birthday, TomTom! The skylight is for ventilation of gas fumes, most people ride with the doors shut in subarctic areas

I'm glad the Bombi is getting love, but I feel bad for the spud truck. I hope it doesn't sit for a year before it gets some love, and I hope the Mega-Axels that Tom bought while you were getting the Corvair end up on it. Spud truck - transforms into WLRRF (World's Largest Razor Recovery Flatbed), with crane - to just pick them up and place them on the flatbed.

I got to say, this episode was awesome. All of it. The story time with Lizzy and Matt. The production. Matt singing! Loved it. And love you guys.

That is going to be one awesome machine by the time you're finished with it. Can't wait to see it in it's first recovery after it's done. Give her lots of love Matt and she'll give you lots of good times on recoveries.
