Join me in a fantastic approved used Porsche Boxster 4.0 GTS. This example at Porsche Centre Nottingham was a fantastic way to start the day during my time there.
Should you buy the Boxster over the cayman (or dare I say it - the 911)!?
I'll leave you to decide.

I have the GTS Cayman. I love it and want to keep it forever! Great all rounder, so capable and easy to live with as well

I got mine in feb23 and have put 21k kms on it, I just can't stop driving it.
6 speed manual box is very nice and easy and have never been bothered about
the saw called 'long gearing'
Greetings from Germany 👍

Always enjoy your videos--although I drive your enemy, 2024 Corvette Stingray...Seriously, car guys are car guys--Vettes or Porsches, US or Brit. Keep them coming! And thanks for the good work you do with your channel!

Great video! From a Spyder owner... It's not just the same block: it's exactly the same engine with a different tune and 200rpms/20ps less! Of course the chassis is just on a whole another level. Cheers from Italy!

Getting one was one of the best decisions I have ever made, it’s just pure fun at absolutely any speed unlike the 992 which - despite being even more capable and confidence inspiring - requires you to do go-to-jail stuff to actually feel anything.

Had a load of 911’s over the years including GT3 and currently have the GTS 4.0 718, which is a lovely car albeit maybe lacks if bit of specialness. Looking at a Spyder rs but eating for the prices to lower

I have a Boxster GTS 4 litre 25 years after owning2 911 (997.2 S carb for 4 years and 991.2 GTS coupe 18 months). I prefer NA engine for its sound and that you have to work at it. The turbo charged 991.2 GTS is faster but suffers from turbo lag in normal drive mode and the engine sounded boring in comparison. IMO the Boxster 25 years is more exciting especially with the roof down and the smaller footprint is better for British roads. I took it to Europe with our Porsche club and the car easily keep up with some well driven 911s. It handled the Stelivio pass and others with ease. A sublime car for the twistiest of mountain passes. I love it.

Stepped out of a 2014 981s PDK into a 2024 GTS (Manual) here in Aus. The 718 is better that the 981 in all aspects. Sound is different not better. The manual on the right road makes it 10/10. The PDK whilst absolutely brilliant and a better track gearbox is only 9.5/10 for the road experience.
Great review. Mine is 2 months old and hopefully my forever car.

Considering the price gap to the 911 it is best value for money.

Yep real shame they’re gone from the UK market. Glad I got one before it was too late. Can’t imagine the next Boxster will end up being EV only though- they’ll surely need to do a hybrid version once the initial demand from EV enthusiasts has been met and sales fall off a cliff…

Best way to describe it is a joy to drive at any speed. Best car i’ve had, yes the 991s was faster but it was less involving, had several M4’s and yes faster but there are either hard riding saloon car derivatives as normal speed or nutter madcap cars at speed, it was one the other.

NOT A GT4 though I have owned both and a GT4 is special. Although GTS is a good car same as the 992 GTS it’s not a GT car.

The Gt4 has gt3 components.
