Busted! Girlfriend's Trouble With The Law! Here's What Went Down.

Danielle seems to pick the most INOPPORTUNE times to tell me when she's in trouble (remember the grand reveal about the light on the Caprice?) Well this time she's in trouble with the law and she's on her own! I can't help her outta this one- so instead I'll fix up this trunk pan on our 55 Chevy!

This was a great how to video from dd speed shop. You can see what was going on and understand the process. The "dan talking to himself" is also actually helpful the audience.

Dan just goes to hacking away. Me, I would be worried about the point of no return and screwing it up. Big thanks to Dani for the superb camera work she always does for us, it's top notch.

Dan, I worked for GM in the early 1960's. We filled the body panel gaps with something we called "Dum-Dum caulk". Gm used the product sparingly, whereas Chrysler products had such big gaps, they had it in pressure hoses on the line. About 40 pounds per car body. Ask a Mopar restorer about it!
Its still available at Home Depot and electrical supply stores for the same purpose, sealing gaps in duct work and electrical pipes and sealing wire connections. It has a very interesting smell when it gets heated up.
Love how fast you jump on your projects! No problem with ADD in my mind.

The 55 Chevy trunk is looking awesome. Nice job on it. Even a new engine too. Sweet. Keep up the great work.

I got a ticket like that in a rental car one time just get a hold of the area that gave you the ticket and pay it directly and then the rental car company can’t get their fee because the ticket disappears

I like how "we" will rewire it later. I just love how you remind me of what I did when I was doing work on " my road" car. That's what I like about this channel !!

Dan please make the yellow 55 150 into an American Graffiti flat back the hood was never open in the movies so nobody knew what Harrison Ford had under the hood but the chrome reverse wheels might be hard to find and I don't give a crap what people say you are one hell of a fabricator and welder and an artist because you can have a vision and then make it real not many people have that ability

We need to see Dan's work flannel in detail and it's sentimental value from his mom repairing it for him 😆

Coming along nicely. It's going to look so good when it's done. I prefer the '55 to the '56 and '57, even though I was born in '57 (AKA OLD) I hope you keep it a four-door, you have those mint door panels, and four doors makes it nice for loading dogs, or whatever. All the best to you both.
