CISCE Sample Papers 2024-25 for Class 10, 12 Likely Soon, Paper Pattern Explained for Board Exams
Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, CISCE Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2024-25 will begin from February 15, 2025. Sample papers are an easy access to the kind of questions and the paper pattern for the question papers for the board exams. With the paper pattern for Class 12 board examinations changed for the academic year 2024-25, many are eagerly waiting for the board to release the official sample papers.
Over the past few years, CISCE has been released the 10th 12th sample papers by the month of July itself for the new academic year. This year, however, the board has not yet released the sample papers, making teachers and parents both anxious. Sources have suggested that the board is likely to release the sample papers soon now. While it is awaited, here is a quick look at the CISCE Board Exam 2025 paper pattern for classes 10 and 12.
CISCE Sample Papers Class 10 – Paper Pattern
Parents and students may please note that the board has not changed the paper pattern for Class 10 Board Examinations 2025 nor revised the syllabus. Accordingly, the sample papers for year 2024 will be relevant for this year as well. There is news about introduction of 50% MCQs (multiple choice questions) in the Class 10 Board Examination. The paper pattern, however, clearly states that MCQs would form 20% and competency based questions (which may also include MCQ and other form of questions) would form 50% of the question paper.
Please note, while the paper pattern pattern has not been changed, the total number of questions might change. It is hence advisable to wait for the CISCE Sample Papers to be released before you invest in any of the available sample paper compilations.
CISCE Class 12 Sample Papers: Paper Pattern
CISCE in its circular has announced the change in paper pattern for Class 12 board examinations. As per the circular, the Class 12 board examination question papers will have more competency based questions. In 2024, competency based questions constituted 40 per cent of the weightage. From 2025, CBQ will have 50% weight. Also, MCQs will remain the same but the short and long answer type questions will be reduced from 40% to 30%.
