The impact of SETD2 loss on CML progression

Показать описание
Simona Soverini, PhD, University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy, discusses research initiated by whole exome sequencing of a patient who progressed from chronic phase to blast crisis in chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). The research revealed that loss of function in the SETD2 gene is common in advanced phase CML, often caused by enhanced degradation via the proteasome system. This interview took place at the Twelfth Annual Meeting of the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO 2024) congress in Houston, TX.
