Everyone's talking about how talented kanye is, but no one is talking about how well made this video is!

The reason Kanye was able to break through to the rap barrier is because he heard what nobody else thought about.

Never fails to blow my mind just how creative Kanye is when it comes to sampling. His pool of samples is so wide and his ability to transform the sample and basically do whatever he wants with them is even more impressive.

fun fact: kanye didn't actually sampled stronger original acapella, they used the og one and eq the hell out of the kick and clap (you can still listen on stronger), he only knew there was an acapella years after because the dj and producer a-trak showed him during a rehearsal, he was mad as hell lol

The "Stronger" sample being played here sounded so good, just hearing how he took parts of the opening and combined when with the end of the acapella bit, that was really cool.

That PYT sample blew me away. The most obvious track of the samples and yet I had no idea . Amazing

You cannot tell me my man Kanye isn’t a genius, crazy but the man is absolutely 1000% One of the most goated artists ever. Bro does NOT miss, musically. He doesn’t miss musically.

What made Kanye truly stand out from the rest was he didn't limit himself to simply soul, funk and motown records to sample. He went above and beyond, with a love for all types of music.

“Good life” sample is genius, just the exact final part from Michael Jackson’s “P.Y.T.” Slowed and you have a masterpiece.

Always gets me how none of these sound like samples when flipped. He made them sound like backup vocals. Crazy stuff

This album is a masterpiece. Easily a classic under Kanye's insane discography.

crazy how he went from an album that was almost 90% samples, to one that had almost no samples. shows the difference in his mindset between 808s and Graduation. graduation feels like a victory lap, 808s is sitting in the shower and crying.

edit: hijacking my own comment to ask if yall could try to find the original sample for Ginseng Strip 2002 (especially considering it has become so popular as of late). Loop 61 by De De Mouse off of Into Infinity released on 8/8/2008 is a good place to start.

2 things that always stood out to me as far as Ye sampling style. 1 his sample choices and 2 the parts he uses. As a producer and someone who kinds studied the greats. Most producers (including myself)tend to use the obvious parts which is usually the open parts. Ye uses open parts parts with vocals ending parts. He's definitely a genius.
