This chips most probably have been used for mining and since it is difficult to resell used cards specially the ones used for mining they have reconstructed the cards with newer components but the chip is the same.

To be fair the chip itself is the part that is most unlikely to fail so it is good way to not waste the silicon

The ability to pick your overall settings for fps and then bump texture quality should put it well ahead of the 970 in real world use. That extra vram is really what has given the 580 8gb some legs.

To be fair the card is actually a rebadged overclocked rx570 cause of the 2048 streampipes. (an actual rx 580 would have 2300, higher clockspeeds on gpu and vram)
Still, 8gb vram, and for the price the performance is still damn good, specially as you don´t get second hand cards with an unknown past but a brand new one.

You do realize those facility pictures are stock photos they use on a ton of different products being sold no matter if its graphics cards or welders.

Lots of these non big brand 580s are usually refurbed mining chips, but compared to used cards in the second hand market, these "new" cards do get a refurb that gives the card new vram, cooler and cooler fans, so that way it can last longer than the mined cards on the used market

I disagree that a DVI port is useless. A lot of budget builders (or at least myself) will try to get used monitor deals (although cheap 1080 high refresh monitors are a thing now) locally and many older good monitors still rock DVI!

I got the MLLSE RX580 a month ago after watching techyescity review on the MLLSE RX 6600M I went to their store and found RX580 for cheap so I got that instead, and it runs awesome and I think thermally its better then Mingzhau one since it has a heatsink with a couple of heat pipes while Mingzhau doesn't have any heat pipes only a solid aluminum heatsink, the MLLSE runs with great temps 61c at full load and the GPU frequency is a bit higher then the actual RX580 at 1284Mhz with the same memory clock of 1750Mhz and 2048 shading units and 32 CU of the Mingzhau one.

Yes please test more of these aliexpress cards, it would be awesome to see the aliexpress 20 and 30 series cards tested against like the gigabyte, asus, msi cards

The rx580 4gb variant was my first gpu. I just built my rig a month ago. I played triple A titles on medium high graphics and got over 100 fps. It’s a beast. I upgraded to the 2070 though.

The RX580 2048 8Gb card was my first "new" GPU since the Nvidia 8800 GTS 512Mb, lol. A week or two after i got that card Prime day happened and I upgraded to a 12Gb RTX 3060 that I am super happy with for now.

A budget option i would recommend: rtx 2060 6G, prices on used market actually good. Payed for mine 149USD and still had 2 years of warranty left.

580 is a bit lacking for new AAA games. For something before 2020 it's perfect. Upgraded from it to RX6600xt, sold mine for 70$ (in local currency)
Also new card is more efficient at the same settings with frame cap enabled.

Still rocking Sapphire nitro plus model.. got oced to 1400mhz.. and recently changing a thermal paste + pads.. yeah i know its old enough for 2023.. but its better than nothing lol.. still do the job done.. playing a forza horizon 4 on ultra is enjoyable experience..

After shipping and all it costs $70-80 but in my country we pay 20+18% GST/Import duty on any electronic item which we we order from overseas. So it's not really $70-80 but you kinda end up paying more. More or less $100
