My dad was recently diagnosed with PSP, a very rare and debilitating terminal illness of the brain. I have always loved my dad but never shown it to him, i dont know why. He was a simple no nonsense man and no one understood why he became so quiet or why he deteriorated so much until we finally had a diagnosis some 5 -6 years later. He spent some time in hospital struggling with his condition and i shared a very special moment with him when i randomly put this song on and he started singing it to himself ( very quietly ), i’ll never forget that moment. Id like to thank David Gates for making that moment possible and il treasure it for the rest of my life. He lives on battling his illness but il miss the man he was forever.

That song, "Make it with you" is my old favorite love song long ago and I use to sing it in our school small concerts and pub houses/bars. Great lyriced song ever written.
