I`ve had the earlier version for about 7 years...really happy with it!:

I've owned this one for shy of 3-1/2 years, upgrading from the Breville Smart Grinder. Been happy with it.

Only caveat is when using Grindz to clean it. You will need to back off the burrs significantly when starting the dose through if you've been using it for espresso. It'll bind if you don't do this. Then you can close it down to your previous setting while it's grinding the pellets through.

Otherwise given how long I've had it, I need to open it up to inspect the burrs and get the vacuum down into it.

On the standard dial range (without taking it apart and adjusting the range internally) can this grinder go from French Press to espresso?

I purchased this grinder about 2 years ago and it's been jamming a lot recently on espresso range. I get to grind 1 or 2 shots before I have to turn it all the way back past the 45 mark and then I slowly grind back down to the 20ish mark. It's a pain because I am wasting a significant amount of coffee and I can't keep it dialed the way I like it. Do you guys have any recommendation to overcome this issue? I've been trying to get in touch with Compak to no avail.

Remarks about "clumping" are almost always misguided bullshit on the part of the reviewer. Especially with any decent flat burr grinder. No rocket science here. Relative humidity in the area has more to do with that than any particular grinder. It's a non-starter.

OMG, My wife pooped a brick out when I bought a $200 grinder. if I spent $600 on this she would shoot me!
