This is a problem with insurance underwriters at its core. How is it that health related insurers have a $5bn? War chest to pay lawyers for negligence cases, but have no money to adequately staff emergency services?

This is the best way Conservatives can force us to accept privatized healthcare in Ontario; slowly cripple the system by negligence and by a thousand tiny cuts so no one notices it. Eventually it will collapse and then we will be brought to our knees. This is when they hope we will beg for a solution, even if it means privatization of our public health care

Canada needs a 2 tier system ASAP. We need to get as far away from central planning as possible. It really doesn't matter which party is running the show, our government is not capable of efficiency. Get them out of the way before its too late

You can only slice the pie up so much that there will be shortfalls. If Dougie can just drop those dumb highways north of the city then you would have more money to deal with this problem. Conservatives don't care and want to spend money elsewhere

More automation. Hospitals don't evolve. Medieval. Factories today are evolving rapidly with G5 and automation.

I know lots of medical staff available to work immediately.... They aren't vaxed... Drop the mandate ans watch how fast these issues clear up.

Yet three hospitals in Ontario last Sunday closed their emergency- no room, staff phoning in sick etc., miraculously however, Monday morning, all was back to normal. Something is very strange!!

Isn’t the real issue the design and nature of the current system? This isn’t new to Canada…it’s just being illuminated more now. Maybe if the doctors and nurses stood up and stood firm and thought for themselves and not via mandates, threats of job losses, etc., maybe the system would be forced to change. If the system doesn’t change what do you think is going to continue to keep happening and in the future.. Doctors, Nurses…you are both the problem and the solution. Unify. Stand up for yourselves. Both your health and your sustainability depends on it.

They are now admitting that their critics were right, those who decided to let go their unvaccinated workers were accepting future drops in care quality levels.

Care quality in a hospital is like safety on a worksite, if it is neglected in any way people die.

Because health care isn't about health its about symptoms management if you want to be finished go to a hospital.

Way to attract new graduates and prospective employees... "Healthcare workers's burn out" and "staffing shortages" turn off job-seekers. Land the job, only to empathize why the previous workers decided to leave.
