Monterey Area Guide; Weekend Get Away In Paradise - Monterey, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, Sand City

Monterey Bay area including Monterey, Pacific Grove, Pebble beach and Sand City. Ideal location for get away just one and half hours south of San Francisco. California here I come!

A place to stay is not always one of the activities but a room with a waterside deck, fireplace and two person jet tub it can be. The Monterey Bay Inn is conveniently located right on Cannery Row with easy access to the wharf and Monterey Bay aquarium. The Intercontinental hotel is the only other hotel that checks those boxes. On the deck you can hear the sea lions and watch the bay come alive as the sun rises.

Monterey Bay Area has an off road bike trail that runs from Sand City to Lovers Point in Pacific Grove. The Monterey Bay Recreation trail is a great way to see the epic sights.

We explore swinging a golf club at Pacific Grove Municipal course. The driving range with its views of the ocean and Pinos Point lighthouse is the perfect time commitment for us (and suits our skill level too).

We enter Pebble Beach's 17 mile drive to visit the Inn at Spanish Bay for great food, relaxing drinks, fire pits during the best sunset on the coast and a very unique Pebble Beach evening tradition - a bagpiper serenades the sunset from the golf green. You don't have to go across the pond to feel a bit of Scotland where golf was born or at least popularized.

We take you to 3 beaches; Ocean View Blvd and Sunset Drive for epic coast views where the Asilomar State Marine Reserve and walking trail is located. We visit San Carlos Beach right beside the Monterey Bay Inn for some terrific tide pools and discover why scuba divers love this area. We end at Sand City beach with its heavy surf, views of Canary Row and find some treasure.

This Monterey does have a beach!! and a single r
and it's charming. Although they are similar in name they are totally different. I definitely have to visit him because we are sisters by name. Thanks for sharing my friend.
