Serimosa tells of the electric notion of the coming of a great power. The appearance of cracks in the dam that holds the flood of the great sea. A visitor from the beyond, crossing the threshold into the material world.

Just like "Watain", Serimosa is a word/name of power communicated out of unknown origin, appearing into the world sans history, to be approached with thought and reverence. Its linguistic root may be traced from the latin word Seri ("serum") along with Dolorosa ("pain") Nebulosa ("starfog") Lacrimosa ("tearfilled"), as if those words and their meanings were spoken as one. In her hand she holds the stern light of renewal, of transformation, of merciless cleansing. Thematically, Serimosa also holds similarities to the fiery Samhara aspect of Nataraja, the doomsday dance of Shiva marking the dissolution of order at the end of an eon.

What I love about Watain is that they can write a passionate and emotional song, yet never fall short from their dark and evil sound. They did it with They Rode On, and now they've outdone themselves once again. Forever my favorite black metal band.

Awesome lyrics ! the latin word Seri means ("serum") Dolorosa means ("pain") " bringer of both serum and disease" !Thematically the lyrics also holds similarities to the fiery Samhara aspect of Nataraja, the doomsday dance of Shiva marking the dissolution of order at the end of an eon. And the song "like all watain songs" contains a micro-cosmic truth. And to me this accpect migh be when a fire serpent from man penetrates the fireament of her sphere "like a shooting star" thus creating a new "third rock from the sun " with life. And its world rumbels so easy in the beginning 😉
But this is just my personal interpretation

Musically Watain is just on another level. They are at the absolute forefront when it comes to creating atmospheres one can completely immerse in. They can do this haunting, eerie thing just as perfectly as the ferocious, predatory, unchained outburst thing. They are also very good in combining the two.

They are like a giant emotional avalanche that just carries you along.

Their unique sound is also like the perfect balance between raw/oldschool and modern.
