Its an hour long commercial for the anime available on netflix, produced by people who had obviously no idea about the medium.
50% Filler-Talk. 30% edgy cuts and camera angles. 20% Info actually worth giving a shit about.
Im pretty dissapointed, but at least I know that the castlevania producer is friends with Kanye now, and that the actual movie maker had no idea what she was doing the whole time. (No shade, she is telling us that at least 5 times during this film herself.)

It felt like she did no research and just presented a giant ad space for a few Netflix shows while trying to sound as hip and edgy as she could throughout.. at least some of the creators had some interesting info.

If you watch the film closely, she is never in the same shot with the people interviewed. Her walking around Tokyo is real but the rest is B roll.
She had a vacation, ate, sang karaoke and talked to some people on the street but she sent her AD to do the work of gathering information.

I just saw "Enter The Anime"
It was horrible, i love anime and they sent someone who knew nothing about the subject and even seemed to dislike it...
The host/presenter was saying "i don't get it" literally after every interview with an creator, she even seem to be mocking some of them!!
I don't need some (hipster youtuber wannabe) to make anime interesting for me, Netflix did great with other topics like F1 and gaming, but this was just annoying and a let down!

So cringy... if someone else was with her that was ACTUALLY knowledgeable on anime/manga to educate her or go along with her too but they put too much money into paying her and the dumb camera effects.

It's just one long Netflix ad telling you that their CG anime is the best. "Some of the best and most talented people in the industry" which is an actual quote, which is weird since they only mentioned people who worked on shows that Netflix has exclusive distribution rights What a joke disquised as a documentary

Imagine a documentary where a virgin filmmaker makes a documentary about bondage and will keep rambling in the film how she never had sex in her entire life. Then she finds bondage extremely disturbing but will try to discover why people are into this weird stuff. Now, this is exactly how the show feels like.

Disappointed in this documentary. I thought this would be a documentary on anime and have interviews about the creators of popular animes but this is just basically a documentary on Netflix animes. This is essentially an extended commercial for all Netflix anime. -_-

I’m was thinking that this was a documentary about the history of Anime, but realized it was a hour long commercial for exclusive shows on Netflix. No research, no reason to watch. I fell asleep within the first 30 minutes. Total waste of time 🤬
