Talking about essential, I am 77 . If it were not for snap, help with utility bills and other senior benefits, I wouldn't be able to buy food. I've already cut expenses as much as I can. I'm still paying off a couple charge cards I had to use for car repairs and other emergencies. I'm living on 1267.00 a month . I might have 50 dollars left at the end of the month. I've quit eating out, stay home most of the time. Can't afford to even buy gas to take a short trip. It's scary when everything keeps going up and there goes my budget. I try to live within my means. Always have. Just don't know how much longer it will be before it goes over my limit. In the end we can only take one day at a time. Don't know if we will still be alive to worry about it tomorrow. Life goes on

I feel fortunate because when my wife and I go shopping for our weekly groceries, we have no need to look at prices, we simply grab what we need and want and throw it in the basket. This on its own is worth working hard for.

Keep bar soap slivers, put in a container with little water, shake keep filling jar with slivers and water

I can't afford to buy food. I have to save up money to buy food. I even been denied food from a charity because I don't drive. NO ONE WILL HELP ME. I even had to go without eating, and I have many health issues. Being a senior, I get no help from no one.

The people with the expensive cars were rich enough to qualify for the loan to get the car, but that doesn't mean they can still afford the payments. Lots of people that were doing well a few years ago have been laid off and are struggling now. Now they are trying to save a couple $ buying food at Aldi so they can put that money toward their $1000/mo loan so they don't lose their fancy car.

Now I am very serious about what I am going to say . I know 2 different families that have always used the quilted toilet tissue . As you know toilet tissue prices have gone through the roof . What they are now doing is buying drying hand towels at Roses or Dollar Tree and using them in place of toilet tissue . You can get a lot of wipes from them because you can wash them over and over and they are dirt cheap . I admit I have started them and they are really great .
