In my mind the original turtles are all dead...they died in The Last Ronin...im only interested in the 4 new turtles in the new last ronin book ReEvolution...it was sad when tbey died but it was a great book and its good to move on...imagine if bruce wayne died at 75 after being in a wheelchair for 30 years or imagine if superman would have stayed dead 30 years ago...we would be much better off

I tried reading She -Thor a while back. I could only make it to issue 11. The fact that she could weild Mjolnir better than Thor is utterly ridiculous. So, yeah, Jason Aaron is a bad idea for TMNT.

I give up! The IDW comic, the 2012 cartoon, and The Last Ronin are the ONLY good things Nickelodeon has done with the franchise since buying it. TNNT belongs to young children (7 and younger) and old children (cancel pigs) now.

Hot Take: I actually like Venus, the female turtle. She added a spiritual touch that was absent from the other turtles. I don't remember the details, but I wasn't offended by her at all.

I've been buying the TMNT books from IDW since they started. Sophie Campbell has been running it in the ground for a while now and this doesn't surprise me at all. How do you follow a TRANS writer? You "woke" it up more than it already has been. Just end the damn book already and be done.

Honestly Sophie's run wasn't that bad especially after she got past the Mutant Town arcs, which were pretty boring with some wokeness sprinkled in here and there.

125 onwards though has been pretty solid, and almost completely dropped the wokeness as well, thanks to Eastman and Waltz basically stepping in to help her with it. Armageddon Game, which is pretty much Waltz's writing as it feels like pre issue 100 content, was some pretty good s**t and wrapped up the overall story arc of the comic pretty well. I'm not exactly happy with where it's left off at the moment, the turtles and all of their allies basically breaking up on amicable terms, but I'm pretty content with stopping at 150 if it goes off the deep end with this new writer, which I kind of expect with Heather Antos in charge.

Overall Sophie's run was a 7 out of 10 for me. Armageddon Game was great, and there were some decent arcs along with some some pretty bad ones as well besides that. Honestly it could have been worse and I think were probably going to see that with this new writer. There are some side arcs coming up that won't be handled as directly by the new writer that I'm kind of looking forward to, especially with Santalouco doing the art for the Foot Clan one. But yeah if the writing becomes complete trash, instead of mediocre like it was under Sophie's Mutant Town stuff, I'll probably stop there.

I mean the overall story arc of the entire comic that I was invested in ended with Armageddon Game, and all that's really left is some character arcs that will probably be left unfinished or ruined when things continue. I am content not wrapping those up if things just get worse from here on.

As far as comic books go, I pay no attention to anything else T.M.N.T.-based. All of that crappy virtue signaling, and identity politics stuff bores me. 🥱 Man, I need some coffee. ☕
