Gittler Guitar Demo with Axe-Fx II

My new guitar is the Gittler Armed Forces Special Edition.
The sound was recorded using the Axe-Fx II by Fractal Audio directly plugged into my Motu 1248 Audio-interface. All the effects are internal Fractal algorhythms. The Moneyfornothing-Patch and my hexaphonic sound were recorded using a Roland VG88.

I am commenting to the comments section :-) Guys, this is not a guitar like a standard electric instrument. It never was intended to be. Therefore, it cannot be compared to a "tonewood" guitar, because it is something else. Everybody seems to try to compare this to a Strat or Tele or Les Paul guitar. But the Gittler instrument is not intended to be able to reproduce those sounds. The Gittler sound without any distortion or effects doesn't make sense here. I wanted to show that you can play a decent sound with the Gittler guitar. It cannot replace a strat, it never was built to be able to do that. If you need tonewood, play tonewood. But: Your tonewood guitar will never look like this :-P

Gittler. Used by Krell musicians for over a Millenia. Saw this in a guitar mag in the 70's and it has lived in my memory since then. Sooo cool they are still being made. Best Regards/Wishes for 2022! Subscribed.

What I like about these instruments are that they are so far outside the box of what traditional guitar building is all about. It opens your eyes for the endless possibilities of how you can construct a great sounding and playing guitar!

I've owned my Gittler for a few years now (purchased new in 2015), white led fret markers. Used it with a GP-10 into various modelers and amps. I recently upgraded from a SY-300 to a SY-1000, and the Gittler is my main guitar for this, and a Steinberger Synapse SS2F with a GK pickup installed.

It's like nothing else I own, including Steinbergers. It's hands down my favorite guitar of the 20 or so guitars I own. It's versatile, amazing clarity and tone control, and extremely lightweight and comfortable.

IIRC, it only took a few hours of playing to get comfortable: just play it and your guitar playing instincts take over.

Peter, can you please tell us how well the tuning stays after the bends? It is known that zero-fret guitars have lost popularity precisely because of problems with bends.
