Dear all of Kyosho haters. Kyosho is one of the best rc car company that produces models that are actually affordable but also reliable. I have a FW-06 that is not brand new but the engine still runs like a champion!!!! If you don't have enough money to buy a pro nitro kit then you should consider buying a model from Kyosho instead

I have had this truck for over one year. Here is my brief review: It's AWESOME. It's my favorite nitro truck ever. I have used this truck more often than any other truck in my 30 years of nitro rc. BUT.... Kyosho MUST fix the 3-speed transmission. The gears are too cheap, and they start wearing down immediately on the insides. The shift mechanisms start to wear down the insides of the gears causing all kinds of tiny pieces of plastic to be thrown around inside the transmission. These pieces of plastic get inside the shift cams, and everything else. This introduces shifting problems, as the shift cams get jammed by the plastic pieces. Eventually, the gears on the inside breakdown and you can no longer shift into the next gear. 

I had to switch these 3-speed gears to the 3-speed steel gears from a company called GTB Racing based in China. With the steel gears, along with GTB Racing's steel clutch, my USA-1 transmission is now indestructible. Kyosho really needs to do something about this transmission. The three-speed is awesome, but with those cheap plastic gears wearing out so easily, that's a HUGE problem. This USA-1 is too special of a truck to let it fail. Please do something Kyosho! 

Years ago, Tamiya had a truck called the Juggernaut. It had major transmission problems. However, Tamiya redesigned the transmission and gave the new transmission parts to all their loyal customers. Kyosho should do the same thing with this awesome USA-1 truck. If Kyosho really wants to honor their loyal customers, in addition to re-designing the 3-speed transmission gears, they should also offer some kind of gift voucher to those who have already upgraded to the steel gears.

Anyway, thank you, Kyosho, for making this USA-1 truck. I hope you keep it in production for a long time.

Kyosho is killing it right now, I’m a huge fan of anything mini/micro scale with brushless+lipo performance, right now I know the MR-03EVO Chassis for the Mini-Z has a Kyosho speedhouse Xspeed85 8500kv brushless motor and can be run with a couple AAA battery sized 1s Lipos’ with excellent results, but I want to see more and more in that realm of the RC industry and I believe Kyosho has the potential to dominate that corner of the market

They brought back the classic, I really wish they would come in kit form or at least have the option to purchase a kit. Half the fun is assembly, I almost bought one way back in the 90s, it was a kit only.
