Women Like Us is a film that lifts and motivates the spirit. This story shines a spotlight on women dedicating themselves to helping others receive more access to education and recover from various social obstacles. Traveling to Kenya and here in the US, director Sally Colon Petree, Author Linda Rendleman and Catt Sadler showcase what can happen when you take the first step in making a difference.
Throughout their travels they meet with women tackling unimaginable social injustices such as female genital mutilation, human trafficking, teen suicide, education and more. Join them as they learn from powerful role models changing lives both locally and globally such as, Ida Odinga, former First Lady of Kenya; Caroline Barnett, co-founder of the Los Angeles Dream Center; Kim Dewitt, founder of the Olmalaika Home; Nancy Noel, Artist/Philanthropist along with other astounding women. Featuring music contributed by Grammy® Award winner Moby, this film empowers everyone to BE the change they want to see in this world.
