Great / just bought the predator 13, 000 KW hopefully the situation is the same. As I need a floating ground to use it as a whole house back up generator.

Great video and description of how to float neutral. Question: If I float neutral and connect to house panel via the 30 amp receptacle and a transfer switch, can I still safely use 120v duplexes built into the generator if I need to, such as to help a neighbor run their refrigerator via an extension cord, at the same time that I powering my house via the transfer switch?

In you video, what's the orange wire also connected to the ground stud?

Will it be Ok to use electrical tape to protect the lose Neutral wire? I don't' own a heat gun. I was wondering if the heat within the generator would make the electrical tape less effective or susceptible to early failure., i.e., melt to some degree. My initial impression is that it should not get that hot behind the electrical panel. Thanks for your comments.

When doing this procedure, do you have to disconnect the battery or spark plug for safety? Do you think or know if this procedure would void any warranties? I have the 9500 and am considering this procedure.
