I play both but I play HSR longer since Genshin exploration makes me feel burnout and the rewards aren't appreciated. I can't even get Nahida during phase 1. Barely reached to 70+ pulls and then the banner ended. Storywise good overall 👍

When I first tried HSR (and I do think I shouldn't have done that) I was surprised how everyone compare it to Genshin, yet how little it really resemble GI. Literally, the only thing they have in common is the gacha system. I blame Mihoyo for trying to promote HSR using GI playerbase. I mean yeah, provided they only really want gambling addicts in the game, it does make sense. HSR is younger project and it require 10 times less effort to maintain (provided the game is a lot easier, development-wise).

But still, GI players are a bit different from your regular gacha playerbase. Some of them - and I don't know how much, but I know I do - only want the "game" part of the game, like the open world exploration and combat experience, and only think about gacha as the necessary evil, to keep the game profitable. The way GI integrates it into the game world it also good - it does not have a hard requirement for donations, and it allow you to play with very little spending. On the other hand, it also manage to provide sufficient satisfaction for those who donate. Like for example, I only donated once to get Ganyu costume, and I'm happy with it.

Anyway, my point is - there are gamers like me in Genshin, who don't really follow the trend on gacha, but are rather looking for "games like genshin", gameplay-wise, not gacha-wise. For us, HSR was a flop from the very beginning, and the fact people massively compare it to GI was and is still very confusing.

I play both and i love both games but idk why im so much more lucky in hsr than in genshin, i literally got himeko in my first 10 pull on the beginners banner and then i got bronya on the standard banner when my account was 10 days old and now i just won my firts 50/50 on the acheron banner, i literally never won a single 50/50 on genshin
Edit: it’s 1 day later and I just won the 50/50 on Neuvilletts banner on low pitty!

when i first joined hsr, the only thing that caught my eyes isnt the beautiful rewards but Kafka herself and the animations for even FOUR STARS, can we have more ultimate animations in genshin pls 😢

As a 1000+ days genshin player, the only thing that still holds me playing genshin was for the story. But after experiencing hsr... I would play the game and not really thinking about 50/50s but only to wait for the damn fire story

Bro, I got E2 Seele and E2 Blade as day7 F2P player. But, I deleted that game at 1.3 now,
I reinstalled this game and I became addicted. Now, I even quit Genshin for this.
My luck is really different in these two games.

I just saw sparkle and reinstalled hsr and boy I got bronya and sparkle in my first ever 10 pull... I am motivated to play this game and get Acheron...

Edit: I got Acheron at 30 pity no guarantee and Luocha after another 30 pulls yaaay!!!

I got one in the beginner banner (Yanqing)
Dan Heng I just got it in only 10 pulls XD

And, in genshin I got my first 5* after playing for 2 month

I did daily commision for genshin everyday for about 3 years, teleporting, errands, running around maps etc until im tired of it but with HSR all i did was do some farming with auto battle and daily done with just that, so amazing, thus i quit genshin right away😂

I play both so I get the best of BOTH WORLDS>:D THE GACHA AND END GAME IN ONE AND ....EXPLORATION IN THE OTHER oh and neuvillette ofc. neuvillette is the only reason I still play :)
