3 things preventing me from buying chromecast:
1 - Remote not rechargeable.
2 - I prefer wired connection to the internet so I am going to need to buy a separate ethernet adaptor.
3 - No frequent updates. I am concerned about how google team handle reported issues. As an example, people (including myself) have complained about an issue with chrome browser which the google team completely ignored. It's been decades and no action from google.

The Chromecast with Google TV has the best user interface and navigation. If it wasn't for the lag this thing would be perfect. Mine lags often, even just moving around the menus and I gotta hit buttons several times occasionally. I've reduced animation speeds in developers settings, etc. And the latest update a few days ago (October 2022) to Android 12 seems to have caused some WiFi disconnect issues frequently. More consistent performance, more memory and storage, and better support/updates from google would make it the clear winner. Even if they gotta raise the price and charge $75 or so, it would be worth it at that price for a complete premium product.

My issue with the Chromecast is that it had lag issues and it doesn't do all to well with the internet. Otherwise it has the best looking UI out of all of the devices. Hopefully google makes a premium streaming device

Is the wifi range better on the Roku 4k 2021 streaming stick? It is advertised at "up to 2x better", whereas the 2021 ultra is advertised as coming with their "best wifi"

Wow, so hands-on. I have had a Roku forever now. Out of all the videos I have watched. They always say the Apple TV is the best. But not many details. You went in-depth on all 4 and when I thought I was going to buy another Roku. You mentioned your AirPods Connect to the Apple TV. That just sold me. Subscribed as well.

Which one is easiest as far as loading up and switching inputs? That would be my whole point of getting one. Like I have Google Home so if I could tell my home to play Netflix, right, when I walk in the door, and it turns on the TV and switches to the input with the Chromecast and loads up Netflix before I sit down, that would be ideal. As long as it can put it back onto my Nintendo switch input very easily afterwards.

What I find interesting is that these try to make their own interface like Netflix or something. I thought it was going to be more like Xbox where do you have to load up the app. I want it to be as easy as possible and I’m really only interested in Netflix pretty much, so which one can I just turn on and click on Netflix with? I don’t need to have a bunch of unnecessary stuff that I don’t have access to.
