Some substances readily allow passage of electricity through them, others do not. Those which allow electricity to pass through them easily are called Conductors while those who offer high resistance to the passage of electricity through them are called Insulators.

There are three methods by which charges can redistribute themselves to build up static electricity: By Friction, By Conduction and By Induction

Ans of homework charge on A and C is 11/4 C = 2.75 C and charge on B is 1/2=0.5 C
Ans of mcq ques 2.--- 4) A becomes +vely charged and B becomes --vely charged.
And 3. 1) increases

Ques: Find charge on identical bodies A, B and C:
Ans:
1) Body A touched with B:
---> 3c + (-2c) = 3c - 2c = 1c/2 = 0.5
Thus, charge on A and B = 0.5c

2) Body A touched with C:
---> charge on Body A previously = 0.5c
Thus,
0.5c + 5c = 5.5c/2 =(by cancellation)= 2.75c
Thus, charge on A and C = 2.75c

Adding charges of A, B and C then dividing by 3 to check charge on each body, we get:
---> 2.75c(Body A) + 0.5c(Body B) + 2.75c(Body C)
= 5.5c + 0.5c = 6c
Thus, 6c/3 = 2c

Therefore, charge on each body = 2c
