I’ve never heard of General Finishes Jerry I’ll have to look into it. Usually I use Zar, Minwax or Sherwin Williams. Yeah you can’t go wrong with oil base and yes there is the smell but I’m used to it. Water based has come a long way, it’s getting to the point where it’s just as durable as oil base but the cleanup is soooo much easier, just some warm water and soap as opposed to paint thinner, xylene and what not. Jerry, interested in seeing the side-by-side results of those finishes. How tough is the HP Flat? Need something that can seal wood well and waterbased, layout is outdoors not all the time but still have to the about the enviorment it's in. Using Minwax, seems to hold up well. Thanks for sharing the video
