Synopsis:
We live in a society that condemns pedophiles, though biological instinct and world cultures throughout history suggest that an attraction to adolescents is as natural as it is unavoidable. The fashion industry on the one hand sexualises ever younger girls while those who act on these instincts are reviled. The apparent hypocrisy at the heart of society forces the question: What do we mean then when we talk about Pedophilia?

This films broad canvas takes in how our evolution and biological make-up have through-out history created cultures where what would today be called Pedophilia has passed without note, and with the complicity of all religions. It also looks at how media definitions differ to scientific ones, whether Pedophilia could be considered a sexuality, how the definition differs between modern societies as well as presenting the testimony of both victims and perpetrators.

In conclusion, we are faced with both the contradiction of a society which fetishizes youth and the question: Are All Men Pedophiles?

A lot of people aren’t born that way.. I saw multiple interviews with pedos that say it started by watching porn and escalated. For some people it’s psychological like they couldn’t get laid in high school and try to fill that fantasy when they get older with money. Some are mentally disabled and can’t have a conversation with an adult. Everyones different. Mental illness is such a problem in society but there’s no very few options for these people to get help. This really needs to change.

I don't understand how, as one approach s and develop s into young adulthood, that an attraction( because, I think to an extent when we begin dating or at least experiencing attraction to others, usually in early teens..definitely not an adult yet..we're somewhat aware the people we're experiencing attraction to are also kids( 1 of the reasons we're so afraid) to kids don't disappear. I know in some people there, from studies, is an altered part of the brain that causes predisposition, but for most, esp with the constant bombardment of messages that it's sick, that gets self restrained. Not only the acts but also the thinking. So maybe if you're young- young adult its still there, but into middle age and older, it should not be. I know, esp among males there's a competition thing, reinforced by some areas of some cultures, which may prolong it. But I don't understand why it lasts an entire life.
