The difference in wealth between the rich and the middle class these days is staggering. It wasn't like this 30-40 years ago. I grew up in a slightly upper-middle class household. We had a veteran NFL football player who lived just a few houses up from us. They were definitely the wealthiest family on the block, but they weren't anything like NFL families today. Their house was slightly bigger, they had nicer cars and they took better vacations. That was about it. Same goes for CEOs back then compared to today. Gordon Gecko would be a small fry by today's standards.

They always are chartered at a base rate, PLUS all "Chargeable Expenses", meaning virtually everything that goes into the guest service, and certainly both fuel and dockage.
