Starting my 2nd and final year of RT school, age 51yrs!! I started back in 2013 for prerequisites and in 2014 got into a horrible MVA and put me out a few years, I had to start at remedial math and worked my way all the way through to College Algebra, final grade A!! If I can do it anyone can!! Erin your such a inspiration!!! ❤

Thank you for sharing!! How's it going now? I was just accepted into the program and start next month! Excited but nervous, I'm a 37 yr old mom of 4! I stayed home with my kids for a long time but once they were all in school I decided I wanted to try out college and pursue my dreams of working in healthcare! I'm a first generation college student for my family so this was a big leap for me and hopefully showing my kids they can pursue their dreams at any age. RT was my first choice and i'm so happy I got in! I just hope I can do it.

I have been a straight A student through college and through my program so far and I still struggle so hard!! It is a career path that you will be testing yourself and you have to dedicate yourself. I have a 2.5 year old who is as crazy as it comes and it is not easy! Also good for you on those two extra classes you took because My program is throwing us to the sharks and we are teaching ourselves everything. So truly good job

Thank you for sharing this. I've been applying to some entry-level master's programs and one bachelor's program this past year and it's been a struggle because in my undergrad I did horrible and graduated with a 2.59 GPA. But, I've been taking prerequisites and I'm currently on my last one: Micro!

I'm hoping to hear back from these programs and to get a second chance at being a student! Definitely have the motivation for school work now more so than I did back then.

Subscribing!

I’ve watched all your RT videos, so happy for you not giving up and pushing through! My question is Did you ever have to take the TEAS exam? Thank you.

At Georgia State you have to take the TEAs with a 70 or higher for RT bachelors program

Thank you for the insight! New subscriber here for sure! I love hearing the different ways we find our paths. I’m looking to start a RT program soon as well, after some second guessing and a couple turns here and there haha

I also REALLY struggled with math too 👀

I’m doing my pre requisites for my RT program. I have to get at least a C or better in each class to be able to get into the program. My goal is all A’s. I have a son who is 9 months old. I just turned 34 in June and I’m going for it !!
