So many great memories playing this game in lunch, on the school bus or before classes... I only played the Double + SandWhich rule though. The game would always cause laughter and some red hands... I ended up playing so much that I would start vs 3 people with 0 cards and end up winning.
My favorite trick was remembering Doubles. Let's say you slap 5 + 5 and you win the pile. When you cycle through your cards you just remember that when you play a 5 the next will also be a 5 to get an ez slap.

I only ever played with doubles and sandwiches, no top bottom, marriages, or 4 in a row. Plus, penalties for a slap without appropriate cards and being able to slap in if you are out.
I loved this game as a kid.

We used to play this in the high school cafeteria before class started all the time. There would be different players each day, most of us complete strangers. Yet we’d have a blast each time, cracking jokes and teasing each other as the rounds went on. Good times.

If you slap the pile when it is unable to be slapped, then put 2 cards on the bottom of the pile.

in the version my friends and i play, you can also slap a 7 (don’t ask me why) and you can also slap when there’s a 6 number card and a 9 number card, this being called “twins”. also, if you make a false slap, you would need to give each person you’re playing with one card :)

My brothers used to play this when they were in high school. Never understood the name but it seems like a cross between war and slap jack...

Love this game. We did doubles, sandwiches, and can on jack+2 (or 2+jack), since jacks are the strongest card. Found a way to make it a lil more fair

Instead of four in a row I do 3 in a row but doesn’t have to be in the exact order. So 7, 5, 6 would be eligible for a slap. Call this a straight. Also, 3 of any suits in a row is a flush so this is eligible for a slap too. Penalties for hoarding/slapping when you cannot, have to give up a card and cannot slap for 2 full orbits.

I’ve played it when your just slap on doubles, it gets so fast that you can see sandwiches and other pairs
