Are you looking for a storage solution in your shed or garage? Well, I have an easy way to build storage shelves for either the garage, shed, or maybe a storage room. And all you need is some 2x4's, plywood, screws, and some tools.

Here is the process of building shelves for a shed.

Thank you for a very detailed explanation. I'm going to get lumber and start the project.

Your technique of clamping the shelf supports to the frame while you attach them is brilliant. I'll definitely steal that.

You should have cut the areas in the particle board where the vertical studs are then you could have put the shelf - flush against the wall giving you more room and not having any gaps where stuff can fall thru.

#1 Amateur's don't do what you just did with the tools you have..
#2 I would have not used those 2 long horizontal 2x4's ... Instead i would have taken the short 2x4 (legs) and attached them direct to the vertical studs at a 90 deg of course and then placed the plywood over those legs and secured. Then even with the plywood, i would have cut slots into the plywood to slide thru the vertical studs for more coverage. This way things don't fall down thru the back side..

Yes you did a great job but imo some of that wood could have been saved for something else.
Back to the point, we all do things different ...

Good work

Nice. You made that look easy. The exit Step 3 at the end should read "you're" and not "your." :)

Nice job. You are what I imagined my wife would look before I got married. Lol Very cute. I also thought I would have a chocolate lab, but I have a chihuahua (I love my dog, though). You never know which way life will lead you! I will be using your video to put up my own shelves, keep putting out the videos! Good job!

Could this be done without a kreg jig?

Should have cut the shelf to fill in between studs.

Thanks for the video. I wish you had showed the video for the floating shelf. I read the instructions to the best of my ability. I want a floating shelf that will be 8' by 2'. With 16" 0C studs, how long should the "ledger" be"? 97.5"? Should my braces be 45 degrees?

Out of all the approaches to building shed shelving I've seen on youtube, I like the white girl's more better.

My husband uses these plans from Woodglut and is very happy with them. However. I love yours!
