I had driven past this house many times, watching the lawn, bushes and hedges getting more and more overgrown, so I decided to knock on the door and offer my help. The homeowner was very surprised at my offer and thought I was joking as I said I was willing to do the work for free, when she agreed she warned me that the lawn in the backyard was much more overgrown than the front of the house and maybe I was underestimating the amount of work.
I set to work, with a hand trimmer to trim the somewhat overgrown lawn and clear the sidewalk of weeds, the back yard as she said was more overgrown, so I decided to trim all the grass with the trimmer and then bagged it up. Next I mowed the front lawn with my lawn mower and I had to mow everything without the grass catcher as the container was filling up fast, but then with the container, it was much harder in the back yard as the lawn was still very thick and I had to work hard to mow and bag all the grass. When I took a break, the owner of the house offered me cold water and watermelon, which came in very handy as it was very hot outside.
Then I decided to clean the sidewalk in the yard a little from moss, using a nylon brush for the trimmer, a little later the weather turned bad and it rained occasionally but it did not interfere much with my work, then finally I started trimming the bushes in front of the house and trimming two hedges.
After everything was done, the Mistress came up to me and handed me an envelope, said that she wanted to pay for such work and insisted that I take the envelope!
It took me about 6 hours to complete the entire job
