The new Srixon Divide golf balls, are the crazy or will they help you hit straight. Mark Crossfield tests the Srixon Divide and talks about the fun crazy looks and the two colour forced line that might help your golf tee shots along with the putting. Golf balls from Srixon to Titleist to TaylorMade are an essential part of any golfers game and playing the best golf ball for your golf game will only allow for better golf shots and straighter hitting. Can any golf ball really help you hit it straighter we know some balls go longer and shorter, some stop faster or go higher or lower but straighter really?

In the comments below let Mark know if you would play the divide golf ball from Srixon golf and would you use the line to help your driving and or putting.

I’ve been playing them and really like the feel. Makes lining up putts easy. My playing partners complain of possible seizures as it rolls and spins, but psychologically that’s really a plus for me.

I've been waiting 35 plus years for someone to come out with the yellow/orange combo! It flickers in the air off the tee, so it's easier to follow. It's also easier to find because these colors don't usually appear in nature. I'm using the ball exclusively now. Don't use the line for putting. I have used it for tee shots. I hope it will be hugely successful and I bet they'll come out with a version in their top range. Imagine, "it could be something that might make golf more fun". What a concept!

Friend played it recently. He's enjoying it, Easy to track in air, easy to find in rough.

I Love them, I have been playing Divide all season. I can find them, easy to spot. I have been picked on about them people love them or hate them. I have some friends now playing Divide they really like them. As for putting I line them up with the solid color to me some days yellow or red depends how i feel that day . I do the same thing on my drives it is a great focus point. I love em !!

Been playing this ball for the last week and absolutely love it. I can't miss on the greens with this thing, made a 90 footer on Friday!!! I like the matte finish to be honest too. Doesn't spin too much off the driver and spins well around the greens. I don't care what anyone says and if it's gimmicky or not, I'm playing this thing!

Bought a dozen and played them yesterday, love them for putting and around the green. Easy to find in the fairway and rough.

I switched from tp5. I use it for perpendicular alignment, because my eyes don’t like parallel lines. I set the ball perpendicular to the target line, then square the face to that, and finally adjust my stance off it as well. Never had more shots start on-line.

I am a visual kind of player so I just ordered 2 dozen of these because of your video...thank you.

First shot was driving from a pink tee. I just switched to these from the longer Orange ones today after struggling to bring my driver flight down. Thought I was breaking some sacred rule. You've solidified my decision so thanks lol

I've been gaming red/yellow and blue/yellow since they came out. I think the blue/yellow are really cool looking, but I'm not sure that in tree-shaded rough they are easier to see than white or pure yellow or red/yellow or orange/yellow. That said, the "strobe effect" is really fun on shortish shots and chips. Where these shine is for dedicated "line" putters. My putting has improved immensely with these balls. Probably halved my 3 putts per round from 4 to 2. Making many more 10-12 footers. I have much more confidence when I trust the line on the ball and merely try to roll it over straight. Gotta trust the line and ignore what you "see" when you get ready to putt. The only downside with the balls (or any "matte" finish ball) is that they get dirtier easier. They don't show "scuffs" though. I will get a dozen of the orange/yellow when they come out. I am a "if it works, I don't care how it looks or what my partners think" golfer. For me, these work.

Love the philosophy Mark. Fun is such an important element so if you can "turn it off" the look is just great. For me the small football and tennis golfballs are my cup of tea.

I love them. I don't use the line for direction, I use it for pace. Soft feel and distance is good.

for the record: I have finished 1st and 2nd using this ball, and all the competitors love the light show!!

I LOVE this ball. Balls tend to explode off the face of my driver and are difficult for myself and others to find in the air (my foursome is all guys in their 20s). But lining up this ball to turn colors in flight has made my drives extremely easy to find in the air. As a result I'm keeping my head down longer because I know I'll find it in the air, and as a result am hitting the ball much straighter off the tee. Maybe not it's initial intent, but for that reason I've purchased multiple boxes of these.

This ball for me is a way to look better than the callaway truvis and to have a ball targeted towards that market. I’d def use this ball for practice sessions etc. I’ve watched you for years and the one thing I think (and you will be able to confirm), I think these make it easier for for people who struggle to see there ball when hitting longer distances. I regularly play with someone like this and only when he has a bright ball does he see the longer shots

Great video, thx.
It might be a good training aid for putting as well, as it shows if the ball is rolling straight or if you didn't hit it well and it rolls sideways. This might actually be the best benefit, from my opinion.

I use the alignment line on my ball when hitting off the tee and it has helped me massively with body alignment to target. I also have the freedom to just hit the ball now knowing that the aiming aspect is done. I would say at least once in a round I will align the ball and body and lookup and see that I would have naturally aimed my body differently. And it takes no longer in time to kneel behind the tee and place the ball than most people take up in pre-shot waggles.

Agree with you, the blue one is too dark. Would I use the orange yellow one, yes.
