BIO - Tropics is an electronic & soul project from British singer/songwriter Chris Ward. Beginning with his 2010 debut EP, Soft Vision, Ward introduced his dreamy, warmly melancholic sound that blends electronic elements with psychedelic, blissed out jazz tones, via organic piano and pop songwriting. Whilst writing for other artists and remixing for bands like Little Dragon, over the next few years, his music began to increasingly rely on a more organic approach, and after a handful of additional singles, Ward began employing a live band to better represent his newer material.
