I’m actually a college dropout, got married, had 2 kids.. busted my ass for Lowes for 5 years delivering appliances for $13.50 an hour, had good benefits. Then worked for one of the largest insurance companies on the east coast in a middle tier position making around $40, 000 a year.. worked there for 5 years.. Covid Hits and they lay me off… back to square one..So now I’m in welding school. Loved that you brought that up. Made me feel like I’m on the up, just gotta get through it.

In these uncertain times, it's more important than ever to have a solid understanding of how to manage your finances, invest wisely and navigate economic downturns. But my primary concern is how to grow my reserve of $240k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains, sure I'm all in on the long term game, but with my savings are lying waste to inflation and my portfolio losing gains everyday, I need a remedy.

So glad you got her on. I love Cody. She has bigger balls than most men and doesn't sugar coat anything.

Georgetown got her her first job in finance. She said the way to learn about finance is to work in finance, so her Georgetown degree was absolutely worth it. Her entrepreneurship came out of a specific, upward path via finance firms. She didn't have a product to bring to market, so the kind of entrepreneurship we have become accustomed to hearing about (software, gaming, social media) was not her background. It's apparent that her personality and drive are the elements that took her to her current situation, and arguable, those cannot be taught.

This is a great interview! I never followed Codie before, but I certainly will be going forward. I have a similar background- I too worked at Goldman Sachs and State Street. - I later left the corporate world and purchased a home building business, became an award winning custom home builder, and eventually purchased and successfully exited another small businesses. Thanks for sharing this interview and I hope others see the benefits of buying existing businesses.

I think this is the first three hour podcast I have finished. Not all in one sitting, but I went back to it twice and did finish. I enjoyed it! Thank you for the great info.

I’ve watched many interviews with her. This is most in depth and most informative one I’ve seen.

I met Codie in a bathroom about nine months ago, and the first thing I noticed is how authentic she is. She is someone I look up to at 21!

10 minute passing period would be amazing! I’m a teacher and our passing periods are 5 minutes-used to be 4.

Every city needs a person like you, reporting from the ground. Inspire others. I don’t even live in NYC, but find you posts interesting.

I really enjoyed watching this episode. Codie is definitely a go getter. I have a lot of respect for this young lady. Hopefully a lot of these young men and women learns something from this episode. One important thing that stuck out for me is that you surround yourself amongst people who want to be on the top or be the best of the best. I surround myself with people more successful than myself and it pushes me to be better.
