This is the same 50s "Columbia Pictures" logo with the wind blowing, film scratching and rain-like sound effects that "Django Unchained", another Tarantino film had. Only this time, with "A Sony Company" byline. But hey, this is a retro film set in 60s Hollywood!

Always good to see earlier logos utilized.

For the time period in which it was set, this was an ideal choice.

They should use the 80s one with the vivid blue clouds and the current torch lady from 1993.

Aaaand the Sony logo runs clean this time. Tarantino must've bristled with fury when he was told about it... but eh, never mind! All those people making "new" Columbia logos with Paint and gaffer tape, now's your chance!

If they used the very first Columbia logo on a movie set in the past where it would’ve been discontinued, it would’ve taken people out of the movie. If the movie was set in the ‘20s or ‘30s, that’s one thing but setting it in the ‘40s, ‘50s, ‘60s or even ‘70s just would’ve made no sense whatsoever at all.
