I HATE SWEETCORN as a bait! I just have zero confidence in this bait. But it is the time of year when this bait comes into it's own and I NEED to conquer it - It starts here!

Its so funny listening to you grudgingly admitting that Corn is actually a really good bait. All I can say is that I always have some in my bag or on my tray dependent on where I am fishing. On my local complex Warwick Wold near Redhill corn has been out fishing all other baits and winning with weights up to 257Lbs. I think it deserves a place on your Tray. Good Video Joe. Cheers

I can see where you're coming from, I don't have much confidence in the stuff, but this autumn and winter, I'm giving it a bash.

Would have been good to see you hand it in as you would with pellet as a comparison.

Good video. In summer I rarely feed it but find it a good change hook bait especially for bream. Autumn, winter and spring I use it more. You’ve inspired me to try it tomorrow at my club lake.

Best landing net head I've ever used, got the large head but the shallow nature of it makes getting to the fish super easy. So strong too!

Well done Joe sweet corn on its is a excellent bite it has caught me lots of carp and big chub but all so sweetcorn and hemp mixed together can be a winning white in any match all the best god bless you Joe

its all i use for a hookbait when fishing in the edge for carp in summer had my biggest matchweight this year with corn on the hook its deadly when done right great vid joe. Hope to do a lot of bomb and corn this winter as doing the lindholme saterday bomb and feeder league hope you have great winter joe

I'm with you Joe - I refuse to eat the stuff at home. me dog turns her nose up at it and its best fed to pigeons. Maybe OK for blending up for groundbait but its a room 101 for me. Great video buddy as always, tight lines,

I’ve had great results with it, I remember when going up from Kent to fish the Glebe on a guest ticket, Roy Marlow sat on my box and gave me a corn fishing lesson, I was using cheaper corn but he told me he only ever used green giant. I must admit I carried on with the cheap stuff until a mate convinced me the green giant was the way to go. 3 cans are still cheaper at £3.20 than a pint of maggots at £3.50.

I hate it, other than on natural venues, my confidence isn't great when using it.
However this year I have been using it plenty and had some okay results, I've persevered with it and I am getting there.
Meat's been less good this year, so forced my hand in many ways.

Put it into a tuna pasta bake then . And you can have a healthy meal whilst fishing.. chilli powder gives corn an edge tench and carp love chilli

Funnily enough Joe I feel exactly the same about paste - I hate it 😂

Way back in the late 90's/ early 2000's when I was in my late teens I ended up getting nicknamed the sweetcorn kid as I caught so much on it!

That said, this year I've only fished F1 dominated venues and it's not quite so good in the warmer months and I've largely just fished hard pellet.
