Turkish Navy Officially Welcomes Its New Flagship, TCG Anadolu

It's being called the world's first drone carrier. Commissioned on Monday, the TCG Anadolu, which began construction in 2016, was built mostly with domestic parts. It will also be equipped with the country's latest UAVs, the TB3 Bayraktar drones. The multi purpose assault ship, is expected to play a vital role in Türkiye's maritime security, espeically in the heavily contested eastern Mediterraean.

One day someone will have a completely autonomous mother ship for drones only. Imagine with no humans the ship can be made lighter, smaller, faster, more efficient.

she was first designed to operate f35s. then the gov converted it into so-called 'drone carrier' since they could get no f35. she is expected to operate drones two years later though. anyways she is beautiful and she will operate f35s besides drones very soon.
