How to Extract Subtitles from an MKV File

I had some trouble finding a way to do this, so I thought I'd share my solution.
I got a new mic a couple days ago, but I can't really tell if it sounds better or not...

Is there a setting to change the extention...mine come out as .sup (SUP) and won't work in my handbreak

When you extract the subtitle file can you upload the mkv video to YouTube with the subtitle file and will the timing be the same? I know youtube converts the mkv file to a avi file and I was wondering if the timing will be off

Great video buddy but I may be a spaz. I installed Toolnix first and booted Extract up, I can see Toolnix in my Extract directory but it's not letting me drag and drop. Do you know if I'm doing it wrong. Thanks bud

Does not work. It keeps saying "Could not find MKVToolNix in registry, or in the current directory, or in the ini file!" And guess what... both files are in the same directory.

works like a charm, 2023, extract a english sub from Apocalypse Now Final Cut, then auto translated to my language with Subtitle Edit software
