From Season 3 Episode 18, 'Val's Boyfriend'. Val gets a new boyfriend, this throws Fran because she normally has a date! When Val's boyfriend hits on Fran, she wonders if she has mis-read his intentions and she is actually jealous. Meanwhile, C.C. asks Maxwell for an equal partnership and when he denies her request, she quits. She later regrets this and asks for Fran's help in getting her job back.
