Vinyl Record Effect in GarageBand iOS (iPhone/iPad)

Create a vinyl record effect using the "Dusty Record Synth" in GarageBand iOS on iPhone or iPad.

In this video I show a cool technique which was showed to me by viewer Ponk 80, which can bring in a cool old school vinyl record crackle to your projects in GarageBand iOS.

To create this sound, simply open the "Dusty Record Synth" instrument in Alchemy Synth and then dial down all the synth parameters, leaving just the record crackling sound and then mix in with your track.

I also show you how to use a bass cut to create a very cool lo-fi "AM radio" style sound to compliment your record sound.
