James King from ‘My 600-lb Life’ dies at age 49: What happened?

Patients in “My 600-lb Life” suffer from various emotional and physical disorders, addictions, or serious illnesses that result in their weight reaching the dreaded 600lb or 272kg mark on the special scale. While Dr. Younan Nowzaradan – Dr. Now – tries his best to help them, he cannot always keep them self-accountable and motivated. While he knew his health was at risk, James King, featured in the fifth season, struggled to keep his staggeringly high weight number in check during and after the show. Nonetheless, he inspired many, and his untimely death still broke the heart of his family members and fans among the viewers. This was SUCH an irritating episode to watch. Excuses after excuse. When they couldn't afford medical transport, rather than TRY AND LOSE WEIGHT, they 1st begged for $, then his dad went into major debt. Then, pulled their daughter out of school to help care for him? LAZY! And even though he was told to lose weight BEFORE going to TX, he just continued to be LAZY instead 🤦🏼‍♀️

He forced his daughter quit school and take care of him. His father remortgage his house to pay for James to go to Dr Now and James repays him by not doing anything but eat crap. His partner Lisa helped kill James and James it turned out was the second man she fed to death. James unfortunately was a lost cause. Between James never making an effort and Lisa bringing crap in to the hospital it was a lost cause. Food addiction is terrible thing.

As bad as it may sound, there are occasions when, for the well-being of those around severely obese individuals, it may be preferable for these individuals to pass away. It appears unjust that one can't fully enjoy their life because another person neglects their own. Why should you let your life be pulled into a pit with them? Life is precious, and our time on this planet is limited. It's unfortunate to waste it because someone doesn't care for their own well-being.

I have no words for this situation. The poor daughter missing her education. His mother and wife being a feeder. There is absolutely no excuse for him not receiving a healthy calorie controlled diet. It doesn't matter how much he screams, being persistent with a healthy diet would have saved his life! His death is on a lot of hands
