I've had a scribe for a month. I'm in grad school and I primarily use it to read and mark up Pdfs for my classes, so that I'm not tied to my laptop. It was a cheaper option than an ipad. For reading, I honestly prefer the paperwhite. The size of the Scribe is appealing to me, but in realistic use, I feel like I read faster on a smaller device. Like you, I use it mostly at home.

Good morning MJ! I have had the Scribe since last July and I absolutely love it! I have been reading more than I ever have since getting this device and I don't expect you to remember, but it was one of your initial reviews of the Scribe that convinced me to get the device, and it was also the first time I had seen your channel, so I then subSCRIBEd to your channel. Thank you for that review and I am so happy to hear that you continue to love it. I use the note-taking every day extensively as well. My hope is, that in future models, Amazon will include a split-screen feature that would allow us to read a book while taking notes, be able to drag and drop a portion of text into a notebook, etc. I would love a color version of this device as well. Of course, I have been seriously considering the Onyx Boox Note Air 3 C for these reasons, but I will always love the Scribe! Have a great day MJ!

My favorite is the older, smaller Oasis. I like to hold it on one hand and turn pages with the buttons.

Sorry, I’m a devout Paperwhite girl. It fits in my bag or my pocket very easily and I can stash it next to my computer at work and discreetly read between customers. I’ve been curious about the Scribe due to the note taking feature til I remember that I don’t annotate or take notes 😂

I have the scribe for home use and a Boox Palma for on the go reading. Really like them both and they both have different functions.

My problem with Scribe is the prohibitive cost and the lack of storage space. My cellphone is a third of the size and can hold 2TB of stuff. The biggest storage I've ever seen on the scribe is 64 GB. I like to have more room than I could possibly need, especially on a device that costs about as much as a new gaming console lol

As of now I don't think I am in the market for the scribe. I have 4 Kindles of varying times and am satisfied thus far.

I like the idea of the Scribe but i dont NEED it. I know I'll never use the writing functionality. Its the size that is appealing.

Thank you for this. Considering buying one. I would like to buy one for journaling daily but I read that if you write a lot on it the Battery goes down faster. Would you recommend it for doing a couple of pages per day Journaling?

Does the whisper sync work on this too? So if you're reading on the scribe at home and then pick up your paperwhte when you're at work and you go right to where you left off?

I have been a Kindle fan for 12 and a half years now and I have the Oasis and basic. I can't justify getting a Scribe as you can annotate to a degree with the Oasis but I would love to have the functionality to do that in my own handwriting. I will just keep saving and when eventually neither of the ones I do have will hold a charge for more than a few hours I will look to replace then xx

I find this device too uncomfortable for long reading sessions. I now use this device strictly for note taking.
