Boxing is a business. The referee was doing his job to protect the young prospect the promoter can make tons of money off in the years to come, not to protect the old washed out fighter who has no monetary upside. It's the way it is. It's why boxing is a BUSINESS not a SPORT and once you realize it you will start to understand why things are the way they are.

That referee was a strange one. Odd little sod.

Did not see because of the terrible quality of the PPV card. Fight historian for decades! But I grew upset with the A-side favoritism given to the promoters fighter. Now more than ever, the B-side really has to beat the shit out of the A-side and win 9 rounds of 12, to even have a chance at a decision. This is most true on Haymon, Hearn, and Arum cards.

Remember when kaladze dropped ajagba and you labelled ajagba as no chin fighter? Where s that energy now when he knocked down this prospect even more heavily.. keep the same energy

*DESTRUCTION* I’m not 100% sure. He was pretty wobbly. I always wonder what kind of neurological damage these guys are taking. He was way too dazed after the count. I wouldn’t have let him continue either.
