I'm impressed with how well-thought-out their plans were to protect their equipment and customers.

We were there (the Swan) and left on Tuesday evening, but we talked to a few couples who were checking in because it was safer than where they came from. Also interesting, the hotel employees said although they were working, they were allowed to bring their families AND pets! I thought that was pretty nice.

I've lived in Florida my entire life for 52 years and that's the first time I saw a tornado in person.

These tourists should be thanking the designers for this miracle. Even I’m impressed that Walt Disney World was a safe haven against hurricane Milton.

Our family was there during IAN. The Hotels and Staff were amazing, entertaining everyone. Bringing all the people they could from Fort Wilderness and the other camping areas. We were at the Boardwalk everything seemed to be very organized. I have to thank them for everything. I also had a bad reaction to something I was allergic to in the food and an employee performed the Heimlich on me and I am still here. I was never able to get his name, but I pray for him and his family all the time and wish him well.

We were at Old Key West resort, very minor damage. Mostly tree limbs and leaves. The staff was great. Shout out to Robbi and Antonio at the Gurgling Suitcase, great service and conversation.

This is exactly the update I was hoping to get from the WDW vlog community. Thank you for reporting.

Glad so many are safe. Praying for all dealing with loss.

Just excluding the COVID-19 closure. It's crazy that half of those closures were caused by hurricanes in the last 8 years alone.

Well, I am impressed, both by Disney's preparations and recovery efforts. The pre-storm mitigation procedures seem to have done the job and repair crews were busy cleaning up the aftermath. It is fortunate that the wind speeds were less than predicted. Still, the storm was very scary, which makes me very happy to live so far inland that my home is never subject to such conditions. The worst I have lived through here was a winter storm that covered my car with 12 feet of snow. It was so heavy that the weight of it broke off both outside rear view mirrors! But, somehow, didn't dent the roof.
I am happy to see Brayden broadcasting his report, meaning he and his family also avoided any catastrophic storm damage!

So so scary but probably one of the safest places you could be during a hurricane

We were there for Ian, staying at Pop Century and Disney staff could not have been better. Made sure guests had everything they needed and kept us entertained.

We stayed at Port Orleans. We saw a great bit of plant and tree debris all over. But the cast members feverishly were cleaning as soon as the sun went up. They even got the pool up and running around 2pm!

Disney is impenetrable. It is designed to never fall. Probably safest place to be when there is hurricane or a national disaster

Fantastic reporting! Thanks for everything you do!

The theme park had literally an army of people to do all the prepping well ahead of landfall. Not surprised how well they can withstand a hurricane.

Gotta say, I have a lot of respect for Disney on how they prepare for hurricanes

We, along with a great majority of people, evacuated to Disney because it is safe there. Disney’s solar powered generators are the key. Most importantly, hurricanes always go down to a cat 1 midland.
