One of my favorite things about Mario Duplantier's drumming is that the part of his solo starting at 02:29 could also just be what he's playing under a "normal" song.

I just watched this 2 times over.  Gojira as a whole is very awesome as a band because of the balance of how they all work together.  It's great as a musician to have the inspiration of them to help me move my music forward.

I've seen an interview where Mario mentioned Iggor Cavalera as one of his influences. I can hear it, but he made it distinctly his own, and it is simply impressive.
