Показать описание
Threading with forming taps – also known as cold forming, fluteless or roll taps –involves creation of a thread by deforming material rather than cutting it.

This chip free process is faster than conventional threading and results in a stronger thread capable of increased load bearing capabilities.

It is highly stable and accurate with correct tolerance threads guaranteed. One tool can be used for both through and blind holes in different materials, making thread forming a highly versatile and cost effective option.

Dormer’s range of forming taps supports the production of Metric Coarse threads in most materials. Options include:

Key features:
- Bright finish or TiN coating
- Oil groove option for increased performance and threading depths (up to 3.5xD)
- 6HX and 6GX tolerance versions
