Its unfortunate how things ended between Ronaldo and Man Utd. Some people seriously disguised their jealousy under face of objective criticism and made it worse for him when he was not playing well. That was the time he was looking for support from some old pals. And often i see the pundits showing unconditional supports towards many players. Why not for the greatest player of all time? Another thing is Ten hag's way of handling him. I understand that the club had to play a certain way to win. Because of Ten Hag, club is now on winning ways But I think if someone had tried to mediate then he still would have been at the club. Then the price of chasing records and becoming the greatest ever means no strings attached. He had to make sure that Messi does not outscore him in CL so he cut himself off to return to CL. Ronaldo feels that the only thing that validates his legacy is the numbers. But he never played in a team which was closer to the teams Messi played in any given point. Ronaldo's legacy is not his numbers. Hi legacy is his commitment to fight against the odds.
