Introduction to FEA using CATIA V5

CATIA stands for Computer Aided Three-Dimensional Interactive Application. It’s much more than a CAD (Computer Aided Design) software package. It’s a full software suite which incorporates CAD, CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacture).

In this session, Esfandiar takes you through the CATIA V5 Analysis & Simulation user interface, but also the methodology and application of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in general. He introduces how to set up a model for FEA analysis, run the analysis, and interpret the results to optimise your CAD models.

If CATIA have this feature does that mean I don't need ANSYS or ABAQUS to do finite element analysis?
